hi! i’m ashley noone.

Thank you for your interest in Mountain Ash! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m an adventurous gal who loves to hike in the woods, play in the dirt, and brighten each day with nature’s blooms. Since my arrival in Steamboat over a decade ago, the Yampa Valley has been a source of inspiration as both a community I feel lucky to be part of and a landscape whose beauty leaves me awestruck!

Since moving here, I’ve been privileged to nurture the native flora as a gardener for the Steamboat community. Along this journey, I have been lucky to have crossed paths with incredibly knowledgable people who have shaped what I know about all things plants. I began designing annual pots and holiday evergreen planters for clients and quickly felt drawn to educate myself on something that I resonated deeply with: cut flowers and floral arrangements. Since then I’ve furthered my education by enrolling in a floral design program through the Floral Design Institute in Portland, taking online webinars, and connecting with other florists in the industry to make Mountain Ash a reality!

Mountain Ash is an effort to feature the unique quirks of Mother Nature while still appreciating her intrinsic beauty. Much of my floral education has revolved around color theory as a means of revealing the unique personalities of each flower. Through these explorations, I’ve uncovered unexpected harmonies and endless opportunities for creative expression. With every arrangement, comes a variety of styles and aesthetics that are never-ending fun to discover.

There’s a quote by Lily Collins that has guided much of my inspiration that I’d like to share:

“I’ve realized the quirky things that make you different are what make you beautiful.” — Lily Collins

Once again, thank you for visiting! I am so glad you’re here, and I look forward to learning more about your vision!
